[A short silence, then a reasonably even tone.] This isn't a hospital, so.. where the fuck am I?

I can't even tell if this is real. It could just be another one of those dreams, you know? Sam Foster was a great guy, but he turned out not to be real.. and my dad. [A pause, he continues with more emotion and desperation.] My dad was dead, then he was blind, and then alive..? I don't want to see him like that again. I think you understand that.

[Silence....]

A famous painter once said, “It is either easy or impossible.” I think it was Dali. I've had to deal with the impossible. I just want it easy now. Is that even a possibility? [A pause.] ...I don't think it is.

Dali painted raw dreams and the human psyche. Impressionists tapped into human emotion. What do you prefer, dreams or emotions?

It's.. hard to explain. I think I was dreaming.

Oh, yeah, dreams. Those can be really weird. I had this dream, well, sort of a dream, I was pregnant and all the pensioners in town were aliens who were going around disintegrating people.
