[As the video turns on, a finger is prodding at the screen, blocking the view of whoever is using it. After tapping 3 times against the screen, the finger pulls back to reveal a rather bemused looking man, whose now right up close to the screen. Frowning, he peers closer before finally slumping back into full view. A sort of silly handsomeness about him, he doesn't seem that worried, simply confused.]

Oooh, I like this! Very new, very odd, never been in this kind of situation before. Can anyone hear me? Helllloooo? [Not that it matters if anyone can, he's just going to keep on talking anyway. Grinning in amusement, he playfully waves into the camera before peering around. Its clearly got to be broadcasting somewhere right now, surely? So why not be friendly?]

Hmmm, this is very odd, very odd indeed. Why would someone be filming? It doesn't seem to be transmitted as a normal TV would. I really hope this isn't a game show. Really not fond of them!

[Muttering incoherently to himself, he resumes peering into the camera, as if it would magically give him the answers.] If anyone can hear me, try to respond. Not sure how, but try!

Brilliant, the Doctor it is and I can respect your name as well, Maxwell.

[He assumed respecting the name is an odd custom thing of this place he has to try and play by. Not that he minds, new rules for each place, he's used to it.]

So Maxwell, do you happen to know where we are? Or better yet, why we're here?

Er - Max. Just Max is good. We're cool.

And it seems that we are in a house. With horcrux journals. And floors that are actually different time periods. I feel like that last one would be reason for panic, but it seems like you're used to this, so.

You sure? I like Maxwell, lets stay with that!

Oooh, different time periods on each floor? Now that does sound brilliant! What time period is this one? Is there s specific order or does it alternate?

[Grinning, he's bound to go have a look regardless, he's never actually been anywhere like this before! He's undeniably interested to see how this place works.]

I mean, that could work, too. Kinda sounds like my parents yelling at me, but then again, it's kind of super-classy. Maybe I can work with it.

Well - I mean - I don't know what floor you're on, but yeah, they all seem to stay the same. If they alternated, it would be the worst trip ever.

Brilliant! Maxwell it is, though less yelling-ness here. I suppose it could be seen that way but I'm hardly your dad. If I was, this would be weird.

Trip? Oooh, is it a trip? [Pulling out his specks, he slips them on and has a good peer around. Nothing that gave him much of a tell-tale sign of where he was but he just felt more in control with his brainy specks on] So Maxwell, how long have you been here?

Yeah, that's true. Though, I mean, you do have the advantage of previous time travel. I certainly don't know if you pulled some crazy "Back To The Future"-type stuff. Or. You know. Something along those lines.

Well - you probably won't think it's one, but when I got here? Yeah. Had to make sure I hadn't been injected with crazy hallucinogens or some other weird sci-fi madness. And that was about a month ago. Ish. Yeah.

I suppose it is an advantage, isn't it? Very good then. I'd rather not be more lost than I am right now.

Month? You've been here a month? How long do people get trapped here? [And now he's worried, one place for that long! Its worse than being stuck in a flat all day.] What about the front door? Does that work?
(Reply) (Parent) (Thread) (Link)
[identity profile] smartest86.livejournal.com on September 24th, 2010 07:50 pm (UTC)
Yeah. A month. And I know there are people who have been here longer than I have, so...

The front door does work. You can go outside, but you can't leave. I don't know - it might be some sort of surprise training regimen or something.

So you can't leave and you can't use the front door... so we're trapped and there's no way out so people have just settled.

Well thats not good. Not good at all. We should form a plan, work together, there has to be a way out, surely?

Basically. In a nutshell. I guess. I personally think that it's some kind of setup, but everyone says something different.

But, hey, I'm all for trying to find a way out. Maybe that's what they want us to do.

Sounds like a plan, Maxwell, we just need to survey this place and find what exactly is keeping it going. Something like this can't be stable, surely. I mean if what you say is true, we have about 5 or 6 time periods together, thats just not good at all.

Kind of goes against the laws of time and space, which is just never good news.
(Reply) (Parent) (Thread) (Link)
[identity profile] smartest86.livejournal.com on September 25th, 2010 07:21 pm (UTC)
Wait - what do you mean it's not stable? Is it going to, like, blow up because of all that time-travel-y energy and stuff that gives people headaches and - stuff?

Because I don't want to blow up. Not blowing up would definitely be preferable.

[identity profile] handyhandyhand.livejournal.com on September 25th, 2010 09:10 pm (UTC)
No, no, no, no! Not blowing up, no one will blow up--- I hope. But! We must remain positive, people have lived her for 6 months or more whose to say it won't hold together for 10,000 years... or 10 years.

Hmmm-- 10 minutes seems more improbably but best to be ready, yes?

Wonderful! Now, Maxwell, I'm going to go have a wander around and explore, do I need anything? Anything out there I should know of? Flesh eating zombies and the like waiting to eat me?

Well.

There was that thing where a few other people and I pretty much got thrown into The Wizard of Oz, but that's the only thing I've experienced. So.

The wizard of Oz?... Right. So other than potentially being sucked into musicals, I should be fine?

[Well, as fine as one can be when being dragged into a musical.]

Actually, it was the book. But there was a lot of skipping.

And it was basically like the movie. Just with no singing.

But yeah. Yeah, I think you'll be fine.

Really? So no singing? ... Shame, that would of been fun, if you could sing that is, if not then yeaaah, see your point.

So, avoid anything bookish and everything will be fine!
